Scenarios
Source at the rack, remote in hand
The source device is wired to the DAC and tucked away by the equipment. You control playback from your phone over BLE — no need to get up, and it keeps working with the screen off.
Your player stays
Arx Authority drives the players on the source through Android MediaSession: UAPP, AIMP, Neutron, Yandex Music and others. No need to give up the software you like.
Pairing by QR
The free Arx Companion goes onto the source. The remote scans a QR code, Arx SecurePair performs mutual authentication — the devices are linked.
Included
Arx Companion — free
The server half of the remote: a separate app for the audio source device, included with the Arx Remote purchase. It never goes online. It asks for notification access — without it Android does not allow controlling players via MediaSession.
