FAQ
Short and with no fine print: how the trial, the prices, the devices and offline mode actually work.
How does the free trial work?
7 days of full functionality from the first sign-in — no crippled modes. The trial is tied to your Telegram account, not to the installation: reinstalling the app or switching devices does not reset it.
How much do the apps cost?
Arx Player — 990 ₽, Arx Remote — 499 ₽. These are one-time payments: pay once, keep forever. No subscriptions. Arx Companion (the server node for the remote) comes free with the Arx Remote purchase.
How many devices will it work on?
Up to 5 devices per account. When you sign in on a new, sixth device, the oldest one is unlinked automatically — nothing to clean up by hand.
Do I need a constant internet connection?
No. The licence is stored on the device and works offline for up to 90 days. As soon as a network appears, the licence renews itself in the background — no action needed. You will not be asked to sign in again even after months of silence: a fresh Telegram sign-in is only needed after a full year offline.
How does the licence work?
The licence is tied to your Telegram account, not to a device. You sign in via Telegram once, at installation; after that the app maintains access silently on its own. A purchase makes the licence perpetual: up to 5 devices at a time, no subscriptions, no repeat payments. Full terms are on the Terms page.
What data do you store?
Only what the licence cannot work without: your Telegram ID and name, technical installation identifiers and licence events — sign-in, renewal, purchase. We never see your music, your library or your listening history: the player uses the network for licensing only.
Can I get a refund?
If the app did not work on your device and we could not help — message the bot within 14 days of the purchase and we will refund the payment. A refund deactivates the licence.
What is Arx Companion?
A free node app for the audio source device: it is what the Arx Remote controller talks to. Included with the purchase; it never goes online.
Why does Play Protect warn me during installation?
The apps are distributed through a Telegram bot rather than Google Play, so Play Protect may show its standard warning about installing from an external source.
A note on Arx Companion: it asks for notification access — without that permission Android does not allow controlling players via MediaSession. Companion is free and never goes online.
How does the purchase work?
Payment happens in the Telegram bot @ArxSecretorum_bot. After the purchase you are returned to the app automatically — no extra steps required.
Where do I download?
Only through the Telegram bot @ArxSecretorum_bot — the apps are not on Google Play. The “Download free” buttons on the Arx Player and Arx Remote pages lead straight to the bot.
